George Pool

George is an emerging writer-director committed to innovative storytelling. He is working on his debut feature, Eating Oysters, shot across 11 days in Cambridge, UK (currently in post-production).

He ventured into film exhibition in 2023 by reviving the Emmanuel College Film Society and serving as its Co-President. He has organised over 20 screenings dedicated to promoting films by underrepresented voices.

Leveraging his academic background in computer science and his work as a software engineer, George brings a unique meticulousness and attention to detail to his directing. He approaches each shot with a precise yet creative mindset, carefully planning it for maximum impact.
