Sasha Carter

Sasha is an emerging writer-director with an academic background in English literature. She is working on her debut feature, Eating Oysters, shot across 11 days in Cambridge, UK (currently in post-production).

An English graduate of the University of Cambridge, she has written extensively over the years. Her works include a novel about her Russian heritage, a short book on cycling and, most recently, a creative article on pheasant shooting. Her poem "Woodpigeon" was published in The Mays 2024, a journal which collates poetry and prose from Cambridge and Oxford.

Guided by her profound insight into English poetry, she transforms mesmerising verses into scripts and, under her direction, into poetic moving images.
